SUARA CIANJUR ■ The Indonesian National Armed Forces are still conducting investigations to determine the exact cause of the sinking of KRI Naggala 402 in the waters north of Bali.

However, the Indonesian Navy Chief of Staff, Admiral Yudo Margono, said that the sinking of the German-made submarine was not due to human factors.

"The results of the investigation will be waiting for the ship to be transported to the top, but yesterday's initial cause I told you that this ship was not or not due to human error," said KSAL, on Sunday (25/4).

The indication of the absence of human error in the sinking of the KRI Nanggala was due to the fact that the dive procedures were recorded by the Indonesian Navy before carrying out the dive.

"At the time of the diving process, it has gone through the correct procedure, from the dive report, and carries out its roles for diving, when diving the lights are all on. This means not black out, "he said.

KRI Nanggala 402 was declared black out on Wednesday morning (21/4). The Indonesian Navy is still waiting for the hull to be transported to the surface to investigate the sinking of the KRI Nanggala.

"When diving immediately disappears, this is what we will investigate, of course (after) the hull lifted. I believe this is not a human error, but because of natural factors, "he concluded. (R-01)
